Legere Fine Art Services
Workshop & Photowalk Registration Agreement
Photography Workshops, Photowalks & Educational Events
VANCOUVER, BC, CANADA
HOSTED BY ANDREW LEGERE | LEGERE FINE ART SERVICES INC.

Registration Agreement

Please review the following agreement before completing your registration for a workshop, photowalk, or educational event hosted by Legere Fine Art Services Inc. This agreement applies to both paid and complimentary events unless otherwise stated.

By selecting “I have read and agree to the Workshop & Photowalk Registration Agreement” on the online registration form, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to the applicable terms below.

Workshops and photowalks may include walking and standing for extended periods, photographing independently and as part of a group, outdoor photography in changing weather and light, public streets and urban environments, and travel between locations.

Participants are responsible for determining whether they are physically able to participate and for their own camera equipment, clothing, transportation, food, personal belongings, and any medical or travel insurance they may require.

Participants are expected to comply with applicable laws, traffic signals, transit and venue rules, and reasonable instructions provided by the instructor.

Participants who have accessibility or mobility considerations are encouraged to contact Legere Fine Art Services before the event so that reasonable adjustments can be discussed where possible.

Registration is confirmed upon acceptance of this agreement and successful completion of the applicable registration process. Paid events also require receipt of payment, unless an alternative payment arrangement has been approved.

Complimentary Photowalks & Events

Complimentary events require registration but no payment. If you are unable to attend, please notify Legere Fine Art Services as soon as possible so your place may be offered to another participant.

Complimentary registrations have no cash value and are not eligible for refunds, credits, or transfers to paid events.

Paid Photowalks

Paid photowalk registrations are non-refundable, except where a refund is required by applicable law or under the event cancellation provisions below.

If you are unable to attend, please contact Legere Fine Art Services as soon as possible. Your registration may be transferred as a credit toward a future Photographic Assignment photowalk, subject to availability.

Photowalk credits are valid for six months from the original event date.

Workshops & Multi-Session Programs

Workshops and multi-session programs may have separate cancellation, payment, and credit terms stated on the applicable registration page. Where event-specific terms are provided, those terms will apply to that registration, subject to applicable law.

Event Changes & Cancellations

Legere Fine Art Services Inc. reserves the right to modify, reschedule, or cancel an event due to weather, safety concerns, instructor availability, insufficient enrollment, or circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

Registered participants will be contacted using the information provided during registration if an event is cancelled or materially changed.

If Legere Fine Art Services Inc. cancels a paid event and it cannot reasonably be rescheduled, participants will be offered a refund of the applicable registration fee or the option to transfer their registration to a future event. Any mandatory refund or cancellation rights under applicable law will continue to apply.

If a complimentary event is cancelled, participants will be notified. No monetary refund or credit is payable because no registration fee was charged.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Legere Fine Art Services Inc. is not responsible for transportation, accommodation, travel, or other personal expenses incurred by participants in connection with an event change or cancellation.

I understand that participation is voluntary and may involve risks associated with walking, standing, travelling, and photographing in public and urban environments.

These risks may include uneven or slippery surfaces, stairs, curbs, traffic, bicycles, pedestrians, crowds, construction, changing weather conditions, public transit, and the actions of third parties.

I understand that some portions of a photowalk may involve photographing independently, and that the instructor cannot continuously supervise every participant or control the actions of members of the public.

I accept responsibility for determining whether I am physically able to participate, for taking reasonable precautions for my personal safety, and for complying with applicable laws and reasonable safety instructions throughout the event.

I remain responsible for my camera equipment, personal belongings, transportation, and personal conduct.

I understand and voluntarily accept the ordinary and inherent risks associated with participation in the event.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, I release and hold harmless Legere Fine Art Services Inc., Andrew Legere, and their respective employees, contractors, and representatives from claims arising from ordinary and inherent risks connected with my voluntary participation, including personal injury, illness, loss, theft, or damage to personal property.

Nothing in this agreement excludes or limits liability, rights, remedies, or protections that cannot legally be excluded or waived.

Participants agree to treat the instructor, other participants, members of the public, venue staff, and businesses visited during an event with courtesy and respect.

Harassment, discrimination, unsafe conduct, repeated disruption, or refusal to follow reasonable safety instructions may result in removal from the event.

Removal for conduct-related reasons does not automatically entitle a participant to a refund or credit, except where required by applicable law.

Participants retain copyright and ownership of all photographs they create.

Images submitted as part of a workshop or photographic assignment may be used for critique, discussion, printing, sequencing, presentation, or other activities directly connected with the event.

Submission of photographs for these educational or event-related purposes does not transfer copyright ownership to Legere Fine Art Services Inc.

Any permission for Legere Fine Art Services Inc. to publish or share participant photographs for website, social media, documentation, exhibition promotion, or other promotional purposes will be collected separately through the applicable registration form or other written permission.

Workshops and photowalks may occasionally be photographed or recorded for event documentation, educational purposes, or promotion.

Where permission is required for the publication or promotional use of identifiable photographs or recordings of participants, that permission will be collected separately through the registration process or other written consent.

Participants may contact Legere Fine Art Services before an event if they have concerns about being photographed or recorded.

By completing the online registration form and selecting “I have read and agree to the Workshop & Photowalk Registration Agreement,” I confirm that I have read and understood this agreement, including the participant acknowledgement and assumption of risk, that the information I have provided is accurate, and that I agree to the applicable terms above.

Registration for complimentary events is confirmed upon acceptance of this agreement and successful submission of the registration form.

Registration for paid events is confirmed upon acceptance of this agreement, completion of the registration process, and receipt of the applicable payment, unless an alternative payment arrangement has been approved.
