Terms and Conditions and Studio Policies

Legere Fine Art Services (“we,” “our,” or “us”) provides custom framing, photography, and art services by appointment from our Vancouver office. By using our website or booking any service with us, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions and Studio Policies. Please read them carefully.

1. General Terms of Service

1.1 Use of This Website

All content on this website, including images, text, and branding, is the property of Legere Fine Art Services unless otherwise noted. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any content without written permission.

1.2 Accuracy of Information

We make every effort to provide accurate pricing, service details, and availability. Errors or updates may occur, and we reserve the right to make changes at any time.

1.3 Professional Conduct

We work respectfully with all clients and expect the same in return. We may refuse service to anyone acting inappropriately or making our working environment unsafe.

2. Appointments and Scheduling

2.1 Appointment Only Studio

All framing, photography, and consultations are by appointment only. Walk ins are not accepted.

2.2 Arrival and Timing

Please arrive on time for your appointment. If you are running late, contact us as soon as possible.

2.3 Rescheduling

Appointments may be rescheduled with reasonable notice. Last minute changes may affect project timelines.

3. Artwork Intake and Handling Policies

3.1 Condition of Artwork

All artwork must arrive dry, unmounted (unless previously mounted), and free of pests, mold, or strong odours. If artwork arrives in unsafe condition, we may decline intake.

3.2 Client Responsibility

Clients are responsible for accurately describing the value and condition of their artwork.

3.3 Care of Artwork

We treat all artwork with care and professionalism. However, handmade processes involve handling. We are not responsible for pre existing damage, unstable materials, aging, or structural weaknesses in artwork.

3.4 Liability

While in our care, artwork is covered under our commercial insurance. However, we are not liable for damage caused by inherent flaws, unstable media, adhesives, degradation, or environmental sensitivities beyond our control.

4. Framing Estimates, Deposits, and Payment

4.1 Estimates

Quotes are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated. Material availability or supplier pricing may affect timelines and cost.

4.2 Deposit Requirement

A deposit of 50 percent is required before any framing work begins. This secures materials and production time.

4.3 Payment

The remaining balance is due at pickup. We accept major credit cards, debit, and e transfer.

4.4 Rush Orders

Rush orders may be accepted at our discretion and may include a rush fee.

5. Production Times

Framing timelines vary based on materials, suppliers, and project complexity. We will provide an estimated completion date, but delays outside our control may occur. Clients will be notified of any changes.

6. Pickup and Abandonment Policies

6.1 Pickup Window

Completed orders should be collected within 30 days unless arrangements are made.

6.2 Storage Fees

Orders left longer than 30 days may incur storage fees.

6.3 Abandoned Work

Artwork left more than 90 days without communication may be considered abandoned. We will make reasonable attempts to contact you before taking any action. Abandoned work may be disposed of or donated, and deposits are non refundable.

7. Photography Policies

7.1 Booking

A non refundable retainer may be required to secure photography sessions.

7.2 Delivery of Images

Final images are delivered digitally. Turnaround times vary by session type.

7.3 Copyright

All photographs are the property of Andrew Legere unless otherwise agreed. Clients receive personal use rights. Commercial use requires written permission.

7.4 Reshoots

Reshoots may be offered at our discretion for technical issues. Reshoots are not offered for preference changes.

8. Cancellations and Refunds

8.1 Framing Projects

Deposits are non refundable once materials are ordered.

8.2 Photography Sessions

Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice may forfeit retainers.

8.3 Refunds

Due to the custom nature of our work, all framing sales are final.

9. Limitations of Liability

We are not responsible for:

  • Artwork that arrives with pre existing damage

  • Fragile, unstable, or experimental media

  • Damage caused by environmental conditions (humidity, sun exposure, aging materials)

  • Losses due to supplier delays or shipping issues

  • Digital file loss caused by client error or data storage mishandling

Our maximum liability is limited to the cost of the service or replacement value of the materials we supplied.

10. Policy Updates

We may update these Terms and Policies as needed. The most current version will always be posted on this page.
