Join the Photowalk
Join us for the second edition of From Street to Print: The Photographic Assignment. This is a free photowalk for photographers who have taken part in our workshops, photowalks, events, or photographic programming in the past.
At the beginning of the walk, each photographer will receive a photographic assignment based on their chosen level: Easy, Moderate, Advanced, or Journalist. Think of it as a direction rather than a set of rules, something to give the morning a sense of purpose and encourage you to look at the city differently.
Following the walk, you will select one photograph to be produced as a hand finished 5 × 7 inch, one of a kind, museum quality archival print on 100% cotton rag fine art paper. Think thick matte paper, a soft tonal palette, and hand torn deckled edges. Finished prints will be presented at our print reveal in mid September.
We will meet at 10:00 am outside the Vancouver Public Library at Robson and Homer and photograph our way through downtown toward Yaletown. The walk will finish at noon, followed by an optional social hour at Yaletown Brewing Company from 12:00 pm onward.
